Dr. Goebel earned his PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from the University of Minnesota researching the total synthesis of the natural product Englerin A.  His entrepreneurial vision led to the foundation of Occhem Labs, LLC in 2014. The name Occhem Labs is derived from the idea that the simplest solution is often the best.
